1. Sainya Ranakshetram is a Cyber Threat Seminar cum Workshop (Hackathon) organised by Indian Army (hereafter referred to as ‘Organizer’) to provide a platform for young talent of Under Graduate Level from Indian Citizens and all personnel of Indian Defence Forces (hereafter referred to as ‘Participant(s)’) to suggest, develop and implement digital solutions to strengthen National Cyber Security and mitigate its associated challenges.
  2. Registering for the hackathon is entirely free of charge and is open to citizens of India only. Interested participants can join as an individual only. 
  3. Individuals wishing to sign up for the hackathon must complete the online registration at https://www.sainya-ranakshetram.in , indicating the personal details of the individual. 
  4. The Participants are to ensure that the personal information provided upon registration online is true and accurate and must unconditionally accept any and all decisions made by Hackathon organizers with regard to event organization. 
  5. If information provided during online registration is found to be incomplete and/or inaccurate, the participant may be disqualified from the competition. 
  6. Applications will be reviewed based on merit on the information submitted in the Registration form. Selection will be based on the sole discretion of the Organizers based on defined criteria. 
  7. Organizers reserve the right to refuse participation to any Participant(s) who behave inappropriately. 
  8. Participants shall not try to influence the Organizers or Judging panel. All communications to Organizers shall be directed through the email ID, and no direct contact to any individual shall be allowed. Any such attempts shall immediately disqualify the entire team from the Hackathon. 
  9. Participation in the Hackathon is purely voluntary and does not entail any right to compensation of any kind or to reimbursement of any expenses incurred. 
  10. Participants must ensure that their ideas/projects were not previously submitted to other initiatives or Hackathons. 
  11. Participants must ensure that the Codes/Prototype or mock-up presented is an original work and in no way violates, in whole or in part, the intellectual or industrial property rights of others and releases the Organizer from any and all responsibility, liability, or request for compensation for damages that should be made by any third party. 
  12. Organizers own the Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) related to the ideas and deliverables submitted during the hackathon. 
  13. Codes/Prototypes/mockups selected from the hackathons may get developed as products/solutions under the guidance and close monitoring of Indian Army. Indian Army owns the right to use the products for digitization initiatives. 
  14. Organizers reserve the right to publish the code/prototype or mock-up on web sites or social media which may result in the same being visible to the public. Organizers assume no responsibility for any use and/or abuse of the idea and/or any development of the idea and/or related project by any party coming into contact with said idea online or on social media and hereby waives any right to demand compensation for damages for any reason. 
  15. Participants must ensure that any information shared with them during the course of the Hackathon or during the project implementation phase is strictly held confidential. Any unauthorized disclosure of information may result in strict penal actions. 
  16. Participants must organise whatever hardware and/or software they believe they need to participate in the online event. Organizers will not be liable or responsible for any damages which may occur to any personal belongings including but not limited to damages and theft.
